Teikametrics MCP: Connecting ChatGPT

The Teikametrics MCP connects to ChatGPT as a plugin with a custom OAuth client. Unlike the Claude setup, this isn't fully self-serve — it requires a short back-and-forth with our team to register your OAuth callback URL before the connection will finish activating. Plan for a little extra lead time versus the Claude flow.

Setup steps

  1. In ChatGPT UI navigate to settings, security and login. Toggle developer mode on before continuing to step 2.

  2. Within settings navigate to plugins and click browse plugins. In the top right of the page click + to add new plugin.

  3. In the plugin setup window, enter a name for the MCP and the connection URL:

    https://public-rest.api.teikametrics.com/stream/mcp

  4. Click Advanced OAuth settings to open the OAuth configuration panel.

  5. Under registration method, select User-Defined OAuth Client.

  6. Enter oauth client id for chatgpt which is: ZhKO7Yo249bQgTwOAdJ9zRq1lqGhktzL

  7. Click create. This completes your set up of the Teikametrics MCP.

  8. Go back to your plugin list and click Connect on the Teikametrics MCP.

  9. You'll be taken to a login screen. Sign in via Auth0, and you're connected.

What to expect once connected

  • Access is scoped to your login. ChatGPT can only see the accounts/advertisers your own Teikametrics login has permission for — nothing more.

  • It's read-only. The connector pulls data; it doesn't touch your live campaigns.

Recommended setup

  • Use a paid ChatGPT plan. It keeps your data out of any model training set and gives you more headroom for longer analysis sessions.

  • Opt out of training in your account settings — a good habit for any proprietary business data.

  • Use a Project to store your team's common instructions (like your COGS definition or brand guidelines) so every conversation benefits automatically and your whole team stays consistent.

Try it

Once connected, ask something like:

"Show me my top 10 campaigns based on ad sales in the last 30 days"
