Updated over a month ago

Overview

This guide walks you through the full process of creating your first Walmart listings using Listing Creator.

In just 4 steps, you’ll be able to transform a product you are currently only selling on a single channel, like Amaozn, into a Walmart-ready product pages — complete with mapped attributes and AI-optimized content — published directly to your Walamrt Seller account.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Select eligible products to list on Walmart

  • Confirm the correct product type for indexing and discoverability

  • Review and edit Walmart-optimized content

  • Submit listings directly to Walmart for approval

Before you start: Make sure that both the Product and Advertising connections in your Teikametrics account are connected for both Amazon and Walmart 3P.

The Four Steps to Create a Listing

Listing Creator guides you through a streamlined, four-step process that combines automation, AI-generated content, and validation checks to help you publish high-quality Walmart listings quickly and accurately.

Step 1. Setup

In the first step, you’ll choose which products from your Amazon catalog to list on Walmart.

After selecting your source (Amazon) and destination (Walmart) channels, you’ll see a section labeled Select Products, which will open up a slide over view to see which products are available for you to list on Walmart.

This view shows all products that are currently active on your source channel but not yet found in your Walmart catalog — making it easy to identify which items are eligible to create. It's important to note that this is based on UPC to identify products across channels.

Select one or more products from this list, then click Next to move forward to Step 2.

Step 2. Review Product Type

Next, Listing Creator uses Smart Pages AI to automatically map each selected product to the correct Walmart Product Type.

This step is critical — the Product Type cannot be changed after submission, and it determines:

  • Which attributes will appear in Step 3

  • How your product will be indexed and discovered by Walmart search

  • The overall accuracy of your product data structure

In Step 2, if the automatic mapping isn’t quite right, you can manually adjust the product type before continuing.

Once confirmed, click Next to proceed to content generation and attribute mapping.

Step 3. Review & Edit

In this step, Listing Creator performs two distinct but connected tasks: auto-filling attributes and images and rewriting your text content for Walmart.

1. Mapping Attributes and Images

Listing Creator does the heavy lifting for you by automatically pulling and mapping structured product data — including measurements, materials, dimensions, color, weight, and more — into Walmart’s required fields.

2. AI-Optimized Text Content

For your Title, Key Features, and Description, Listing Creator uses Smart Pages GenAI to reformat and rewrite your Amazon content to align with Walmart’s specific listing quality standards. This ensures your listings start optimized — not just duplicated — so they look, read, and perform like true Walmart-native content.

Once completed, each product will show a line item of indicating the status of the mapping for review. If any data is missing and needs to be submitted, we will indicate that with a yellow attention icon.

To view and edit listing details, you can click on the Review button to the right so bring up the editor slide over. This allows you to make any modifications to the Offer, Images, Text Content, and Attributes.

After all product line items are showing Ready to Submit you can click Next to move on to Step 4.

Step 4. Preview & Submit

The final step provides a stylized preview of your Walmart product page. From here, you can double-check your text and images, then click Submit to Walmart to send the listing to your Walmart Seller Center Account for creation!

After You Submit

Once your listing is submitted:

  • Walmart reviews and either publishes, holds, or rejects your listing.

  • Common reasons for hold include category restrictions or pricing errors.

  • You can check status and resolve any issues directly in Walmart Seller Center.

Note: Listing Creator does not currently display rejection or approval messages inside the Teikametrics platform — this will be available in a future release.

Tips for Success

  • Start with a few listings to get comfortable with the flow

  • Carefully confirm Product Type — it defines discoverability and compliance

  • Review any missing attribute flags before submission

  • Keep pricing aligned with Walmart’s marketplace standards to avoid holds
