1. What are Smart Campaigns?
Smart Campaigns are well-optimized campaigns powered by Teikametrics’ proprietary Goal-Based Bidding technology. Instead of manually adjusting bids, you set your Goal and ACoS Limit, and our AI automatically manages bids to hit your targets — whether that means growing sales, maximizing profit, or launching new products.
2. Is AI Basic Bidding Still Available?
No AI basic bidding is no longer available. AI basic bidding did not provide the optimization that we are capable of providing our customers. If you want to bid toward an almost strict ACOS limit we recommend utilizing the grow goal as the modifier range is 95-100%. This means that majority of the time our AI will bid toward your ACOS limit and only bid lower if efficiency can be gained without losing sales velocity.
3. How does Smart Campaigns goal based bidding work with channel multipliers?
Goal based bidding is channel multiplier aware. This means that the bids will be modified to account for the increase in bid due to the channel multipliers. The base optimal bid will fluctuate to ensure Goal and ACOS limits are respected.
If you are use high multipliers and wish to maintain current bidding levels we recommend increasing your ACOS limits with the multipliers.
4. Do I need to launch new campaigns to get Smart Campaign goal based bidding?
No, Smart Campaign goal based bidding is now offered for all campaigns no matter where they were launched. This includes all ad types across Amazon and Walmart.
5. What should I do if my spend is getting too high or too low for a campaign or ad group?
The first thing to do is evaluate your ACOS limits on your ad groups. If spend is getting too high we recommend reducing your ACOS limit. This informs the bidder you wish to be less aggressive and bids will be decreased.
The opposite goes for spend being too low. Increasing ACOS limits will in turn increase bids and therefore spend.
Another setting to check is your campaign goal. If you wish to increase spend we recommend using an aggressive goal such as product launch, awareness, or even liquidate. These have higher modifier ranges meaning bids will be increased.
6. Can I disable AI on a campaign if needed?
Yes Smart Campaign goal based bidding can be disabled at a campaign level. Clicking into the AI Smart Campaign column you can get the goal to No AI. This will disable bidding for all associated ad groups. This is not recommended but there if needed.
7. Can I manage bid modifiers still?
Bid modifiers are now automated within the campaign goal ranges when goal based bidding is enabled so strict management is not available with goal based bidding. If you would like to bid with strict modifiers we suggest using day parting for your ad groups.
