Smart Campaign Goal-Based Bidding — What’s Changing and What to Expect

Goal Based Bidding for all campaigns!

Updated over a week ago

Overview

Starting October 15th, all campaigns and ad types in Teikametrics will automatically transition to Smart Campaigns with Goal-Based Bidding. This is part of our continued effort to make campaign management easier, smarter, and more performance-driven for every advertiser.

What’s Changing

  • All campaigns and ad types (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and Sponsored Video) will move to Smart Campaigns.

  • If you are currently utilizing Smart Campaigns for SP those will remain the same but now all other ad types are unlocked for goal based optimization.

  • The new Goal-Based Bidding system replaces the older AI Basic bidding model.

  • You’ll now select a campaign goal (like Grow, Profit, or Launch) to tell our AI what outcome you want, and it will dynamically adjust bids to reach that target.

  • Updates in Recommendation Hub and Ads Manager make it easier to track goals, view campaign hierarchies, and customize settings when needed.

When It’s Happening

The transition begins October 15th and will automatically roll out to all accounts.
No action is required on your part — your existing campaigns will be transitioned to goal based bidding automatically, with no downtime or data loss.

Why We’re Making the Change

We’re making this change because our data shows goal-based bidding outperforms traditional AI bidding.

When customers manage Smart Campaigns effectively, they’ve seen up to 84% ad revenue growth in just 30 days. The new bidding empowers our AI to make faster, more precise bid optimizations — driving better results while reducing the time you spend managing bids manually.

In short:
More growth opportunity
Less manual management
Smarter performance optimization

How Smart Campaign Goal-Based Bidding Works

Smart Campaigns use two main inputs to guide bidding decisions:

  1. Ad Group–Level ACoS Limit – This sets your performance boundary (your break-even target). It tells the AI how aggressive it can be when bidding.

  2. Campaign Goal – This determines the range in which the AI can adjust bids to achieve your objective.

For example:

  • Product Launch Goal: The AI can bid up to 125% of your ACoS limit to aggressively drive visibility and new sales.

  • ROAS Goal: The AI bids between 1% and 100% of your ACoS limit, prioritizing efficiency and return on ad spend.

Together, these inputs let our AI continuously and automatically adjust bids in real time — so you get the best performance possible without constant manual tuning.

Where You’ll See the Updates

  • Recommendation Hub: Enable Smart Campaigns card will be created to help you set up Smart Campaign goals with recommended goals and ACOS limits.

  • Ads Manager: Enhanced layout to easily view campaign hierarchy, goals, and performance metrics.

What You Need to Do

Nothing! Your existing campaigns will automatically transition to Smart Campaigns on October 15th.
We recommend reviewing your campaign goals and ACoS limits after the transition to ensure they align with your business objectives.

  • AI-driven optimization tailored to your business goals.

  • Proven performance, with up to 84% growth in ad revenue in just 30 days.
