Start optimizing your listings in just a few clicks.
Smart Pages makes it easy to turn your existing product listings into fully optimized, data-driven product detail pages. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to activate your first Smart Page, review and edit the content, and publish it live to Amazon or Walmart.
Step 1: Activate a Smart Page
Before you can edit or publish content, you’ll need to activate Smart Pages for the products you want to optimize. Activating a Smart Page converts a standard product listing into a Smart Page, unlocking all of the AI optimization features, performance analytics, and content history tracking available in the tool.
Here’s how to activate:
Go to the Text Content section in Smart Pages
Select one or more products that you want to convert
Click “Activate Smart Page” to begin the optimization process
You can activate listings one at a time or in bulk. Once activated, these listings will appear in your Listing Content Review inbox, where you can review AI-generated content and prepare to publish.
💡 Pro Tips
Start with low-scoring listings. Use the Listing Score and other performance metrics to prioritize products that need the most improvement.
Smart Pages are channel-specific. If a product is listed on both Amazon and Walmart, you’ll need to activate each version separately.
Step 2: Review and Edit Content
Once your Smart Page is activated, ARI generates new content for your listing using your ad performance and search data. It's built for your product and marketplace, not a generic rewrite.
Review your content side by side
Open the Listing Content Review inbox and select a product from the list on the left. Each field (title, item highlights, bullets, description, and backend keywords) shows your Current Content next to the ARI Generated content. Keywords ARI added are highlighted so you can see where they were used.
Edit in place
Want to change something? Click into any ARI generated field and edit the text right there in the inbox. There's no separate editor to open, so you can review and edit in one pass. You're the expert on your product, so add any details ARI may have missed.
Choose what to keep, field by field
You don't have to accept everything. For each field, pick either the ARI generated content or your current content. For example, if you only want the new title and item highlights, select your current content for the other fields. The Submission panel at the top right shows how many fields use ARI generated content and how many keep your current content.
Review your integrated keywords
Click Integrated Keywords at the top of the product to see the keywords ARI used, along with their performance data. You can swap or remove keywords, and ARI will regenerate the content with your updates.
💡 Pro Tips
Start with titles and item highlights. They're the most visible fields on your listing.
Check your highlighted keywords. Make sure your top search terms made it into the content.
Step 3: Publish to the Channel
Once you’re satisfied with the content, the final step is to publish your Smart Page to your connected Amazon or Walmart account.
Here’s how to publish:
Click “Submit to Amazon” (or “Submit to Walmart”) in the Listing Content Review inbox. Only the content you selected for each field is sent to your listing
Confirm the channel you’re pushing the content to (Amazon or Walmart)
Once submitted, you’ll see the listing move into the “Analyze” tab for ongoing performance tracking
Publishing is instant — we send the content directly to the channel via API, and you’ll see a confirmation once the submission is successful.
From there, Smart Pages continues to monitor performance over time. You’ll be able to return to the dashboard to see how traffic, conversion rate, and overall sales are affected by the changes, and Smart Pages will surface new opportunities as keyword trends evolve.
💡 Pro Tips
Only publish when you're ready. Make sure you’ve reviewed all changes and are confident in the updates.
Submission confirmation ≠ live update. Some marketplaces (like Walmart) may take a short time to reflect changes after submission.
Track performance post-publish. Use the Dashboard and Analyze tab to see the impact of your changes.
Step 4: Confirm Your Content is Live
Publishing to the channel is not the same as your content going live on the product detail page. Channels like Amazon and Walmart accept submitted content, but whether that content actually displays on the listing is a separate step. One that Smart Pages doesn't control. Factors like reseller activity, account ownership, and channel policies can all prevent submitted content from showing up, even when the submission itself was accepted.
To give you accurate visibility into what's actually live, Smart Pages now audits each submission against the live PDP and surfaces the result in a new Listing Content Status column on the Optimization Performance page.
Here's how it works:
After publishing, Smart Pages waits 24 hours to allow the channel time to process the submission
During that window, your submission will appear in the Published tab, this is expected and does not indicate an issue
Once the audit completes, the listing moves to one of three statuses: Published, Partial, or Accepted - Not Published
For Partial or Accepted - Not published listings, Smart Pages continues checking daily for up to 30 days, so any channel-side changes are captured automatically
Note: For any previously published listing, we recommend that users to re-generate a new listing and sync with the channel. This will ensure that not only the latest updates are made but that the status is content audit status is represented correctly.
Understanding each status:
Published: All submitted fields are confirmed on the live PDP. Performance tracking begins from the date the first field is confirmed, not the submission date.
Partial: Some fields are live, but not all. You'll see a field-level breakdown showing exactly which content made it and which didn't. Performance tracking still applies to the confirmed fields.
Accepted-Not Published: None of the submitted content is showing on the PDP. No performance data is shown for this listing. Smart Pages will surface a reason where available, such as the channel choosing to display content from another source, and will provide a call-to-action to open a support case directly with the channel to resolve it.
What to do next?
If a list has a partial publish status you can re-generate and sync again.
